Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part Two
March 18th, 2024 by Joel
  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You typically place a bet (a dollar is the normal value) to try to win a bonus jackpot that can be upwards of $25,000. Although huge jackpots like these are particularly appealing, they’re also particularly complicated to succeed. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, imagine this- you play twenty hands and place the side wager each time. That’s 20 dollars you should have used towards the actual game wager instead of a sucker bet. Picture what you could have been able to win at a wager with better odds using that 20 dollars.
  • Single number wagers in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only one. This shifts the complete house edge from 2% with one zero wheel to a huge five% in American. The individual number bet has just a 1 in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets as a substitute which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the casino advantage can be a whopping twenty-five percent. No, that isn’t a typo. Due to the large set of numbers you must select, it is not advisable to wager on Keno very much. A couple of times for entertainment, maybe. But don’t waste all your cash on it or you’ll quickly find yourself bankrupt.
