Online Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You usually place a wager ($1 is the usual amt.) to try to win a side jackpot that can be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though huge jackpots like these are extremely appealing, they’re also particularly hard to win. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, imagine this- you play 20 hands and put the side wager each time. That is 20 dollars you should have used towards the actual game bet in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a wager with greater odds employing that twenty dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just one. This takes the complete house edge from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a huge 5.26% in American. The one number bet has only a one in 38 chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much smaller house advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you gamble on it, the house advantage can be a whopping twenty-five percent. No, that is not a error. Due to the huge set of numbers you have to choose, it is not recommended to play Keno to often. A couple of times for entertainment, maybe. But do not spend all your money on it or you’ll immediately discover yourself bankrupt.
