Learning From My Gambling Blunders
May 2nd, 2010 by Joel

I have been gaming on the net or at real life gambling halls for a great many years. I have found out, the habit is able to grab a hold of you and you won’t even see it until you are beaten. Markedly if you are on a run. I have gone through countless thousands of dollars in just a tiny period of time and even still on occasion, I still go a bit too long. It feels like you are only enjoying yourself up till you make a choice to track your losses and the guilt sets in, and of course you continue telling yourself "I can win it back" at length. It doesn’t work. Then you get icky in your stomach and the harder you try the more rapidly you spend.

When you discover that you are in the black, STAY on the UP! When you begin to lose, don’t tell yourself, "well only 1 more" and again and again, believe in me, this plan RARELY ever functions. Say you are playing on slots, keep a pot set aside before starting your wagering. DON’T go over this cap, regardless of how tempting. If you happen to win, put the winnings in a separate cup. Don’t risk your payouts regardless of what happens. Once you have wagered through your original set range, stop. Depart, whether it’s online or in a brick and mortar gambling den, do not stay at the tables or machines. At all times remember, there certainly is another day, other times. Obviously, this plan is able to work for any game that you gamble on, be it bingo, poker, video poker, keno, blackjack or any other game.

Remember, gaming is supposed to be enjoyable not exhausting, nauseating work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If you cannot afford the loss, don’t ever start.
