Net Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2
January 8th, 2024 by Joel
  • Progressive side bets: Games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly have one of these. You typically lay a wager ($1 is the usual value) to try to win a side jackpot that can reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Though huge jackpots like this are extremely tempting, they’re also incredibly difficult to succeed. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, imagine this- you wager 20 hands and lay the side bet every time. That is $20 you could have used towards the actual game wager instead of a sucker bet. Picture what you could have been able to win at a wager with more favorable odds using that 20 dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just 1. This takes the overall house advantage from 2.63percent with a single zero wheel to a huge 5.26% in American. The one number bet has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers instead which have a much lower casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the house advantage can be a whopping 25%. No, that was not a typo. Because of the large amount of numbers you must choose, it is not advisable to bet on Keno very much. A few times for fun, perhaps. But don’t spend all your cash on it or you’ll immediately discover yourself bankrupt.
